A cultural corridor, not a single stop

Pueblos Blancos

The Pueblos Blancos are a group of distinct towns linked by craft, agriculture, food, family workshops and long Indigenous and colonial histories.

Pueblos Blancos

Why it may fit

Pueblos Blancos, with time to understand it

Each of the Pueblos Blancos has its own character. Catarina is known for viewpoints and plant culture, San Juan de Oriente for pottery, Niquinohomo for history and local identity, and Diriomo for food traditions and seasonal celebrations. Choose a few towns and spend enough time to see how craft, family knowledge and everyday life differ from one community to the next.

Planning notes

Before you go

Choose two or three focused stops rather than rushing through every town. Workshop visits are more rewarding when arranged with enough time to watch the process, while seasonal events can give the same route a very different character.
